How the Trade-In Works
- Receive a credit equivalent to 20% of the original purchase price of your HP OpenVMS perpetual license when transitioning to a VSI OpenVMS subscription
- Proof of purchase is required (e.g. copy of the original invoice)
- Customers must sign a declaration and provide proof that the original HP license has been destroyed
- In cases where reseller pricing exceeded HP list prices at the time of sale, the trade‑in value will be based on 20% of the applicable HP list price
License Verification Requirements
To validate eligibility, VSI requires confirmation of the existing license:
- A relevant VSI$SUPPORT file, if available
- If no authorization string or unique identifier is present, customers may be asked to provide:
- A copy of the original license, or
- Additional supporting documentation as requested by VSI
All trade‑in requests are subject to review and approval by VSI.
