Features
Lua is dynamically typed, runs by interpreting bytecodes using a register-based virtual machine, and has automatic memory management with incremental garbage collection, making it ideal for configuration, scripting, and rapid prototyping tasks. The OpenVMS port of Lua includes the core binary Lua distribution and several extensions, including a lightweight pure Lua JSON library and a small set of OpenVMS-specific extensions to facilitate calling of various OpenVMS system services and RTL routines.Documentation
